The Faculty of Arts and Letters of the Catholic University in Ruzomberok is known for its emphasis on rigorous teaching, a homely atmosphere, a friendly approach to students and student-centred education. Moreover, the faculty supports its students, their study and their various extracurricular activities. 1) Students

We regularly support our students and their various activities. We provide our hard-working and talented students with scholarships, which help them to cover their living expenses or to finance their various projects. If you choose this priority, your gift will be used for students scholarships or to fund various activities of our students.

2) Education

A motivating education requires both attractive study programmes and first-rate technical equipment. We offer to our students the opportunities to learn and practice their skills in an inspiring environment (they make use of the psychology laboratory or create their own works in our media centre with TV and radio studios), but there is still need to modernize equipment and to develop new courses and study programmes. If you choose this priority, your gift will be used to fund education process.

3) Research

Except teaching and learning, our faculty members and students engage in various research projects exploring different topics from the areas of humanities, social sciences or education. For instance, one of the most exciting outcomes of our colleagues, historians, is a published peer-reviewed interdisciplinary journal Cultural History (ISSN 1338-2209), a unique journal in our region, focusing on a wide range of topics connected with cultural activities of humans in the past. If you choose this priority, your gift will be used to fund research and publications of our faculty members and students.
